Florida Highway Patrol said a crash in Volusia County killed one motorcyclist and injured several other people on Saturday.FHP said the crash happened along East International Speedway Boulevard near West Parkway, near Daytona Park Estates, around 1:40 Saturday afternoon. Troopers said a Nissan Rogue traveling eastbound on East International Speedway Blvd failed to stop for a string of vehicles stopped at a red light at the intersection with West Parkway.As a result, the Rogue crashed into the rear of a motorcycle, and then struck a Jeep Cherokee, which in turn hit a Jeep Wrangler, which was subsequently pushed into the rear of the Ford Mustang waiting at the traffic light.The 73-year-old Middleburg man riding the motorcycle was transported to Halifax Hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. FHP said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.The Rogue’s driver, and the driver and passenger of the Jeep Cherokee were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.The driver and passenger of the Jeep Wrangler and the driver of the Ford Mustang were not injured in the crash.Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
