Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed in a crash on East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, near the Silver Spurs Arena, early Saturday morning.The crash happened around 3:40 Saturday morning near the intersection of Simpson Road and East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US-192). Troopers said a Honda Civic traveling west on US-192 approaching Simpson Road hit a pedestrian walking north across US-192.The 40-year-old Centennial, Colorado, woman hit in the crash was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital where she later died. FHP said she was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.Troopers said the 20-year-old woman driving the Civic remained at the scene of the crash and was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by FHP troopers.
