Cool start with warm, sunny afternoon ahead
Temps rising to upper 70s, low 80s
AND THIS MORNING, IT’S A LITTLE CHILLY OUT THERE. YOU MAY WANT TO STAY UNDER THE COVERS. YEAH, ABSOLUTELY. AND DO NOT FORGET THAT JACKET. DON’T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF DOING THAT, BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH WE’LL HAVE TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S, THIS AFTERNOON, THIS MORNING, IT IS PRETTY CHILLY OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW. WE’RE SEEING 40S AND 50S ACROSS CENTRAL FLORIDA. WE’RE DOWN TO 54 IN ORLANDO, 51 IN KISSIMMEE, 57 DEGREES IN MELBOURNE, 55 IN DAYTONA BEACH, AND ALONG I 75, WE’RE AT 49 IN WILDWOOD, THE VILLAGES AND EVEN COLDER IN OCALA AT 45 DEGREES. SO WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IS TO GET THE KIDS READY FOR SCHOOL IS THAT YOU WILL NEED THE LAYERS. THIS MORNING THE JACKETS AND THEN THIS AFTERNOON, WHEN YOU PICK THE KIDS UP FROM SCHOOL, WE’RE TALKING T SHIRTS AND SHORTS BECAUSE IT’S GOING TO BE VERY COMFORTABLE WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80S, INLAND COASTAL LOCATIONS JUST SLIGHTLY COOLER INTO THE 70S. WE’LL ALSO HAVE A WIND PICKING UP AT ABOUT 10 TO 15MPH. CLEAR CONDITIONS THIS MORNING OUT IN OCALA NOW THAT WE ARE OVER DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME, SUNRISE IS NOW AT 641. BUT THE SUNSET IS GOING TO GET EARLIER AT 537. SO SOON WE’LL START TO SEE A GLIMPSE OF SOME LIGHT. BUT THAT SUNSET IS GOING TO GET EARLIER AND THE SHORTEST DAY OF THE YEAR IS ALSO THE FIRST DAY OF WINTER ON DECEMBER 21ST. SO THANKFULLY, WE’RE NOT THERE YET, BUT WE ARE GETTING CLOSE TO IT, AT LEAST RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE CLEAR CONDITIONS AS DEPICTED BY OUR SATELLITE IMAGE. WE’LL HAVE THOSE CLEAR CONDITIONS ALL AFTERNOON LONG AND THEN GOING INTO THE EVENING HOURS, CLEAR SKIES CONTINUE AS WELL. WE WILL BE EXPECTING, THOUGH, A WARM UP AHEAD TODAY WILL BE AT 82 DEGREES. IT’S ACTUALLY GOING TO BE THE COOLEST DAY ALL WEEK LONG. AND THEN GOING INTO FRIDAY, WE’RE WARMING UP TO 87 DEGREES. THAT’S SIX DEGREES ABOVE OUR AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 81. AND WE’RE NEARING THE UPPER 80S. AND THAT WARM UP IS GOING TO BEGIN AS EARLY AS TOMORROW, MID 80S FOR INLAND SPOTS, COASTAL LOCATIONS IN THE MID AND UPPER 70S WITH A FEW LOCATIONS AS WELL IN THE LOW 80S. SO WE’LL CALL TOMORROW MILDER, HIGH PRESSURE STILL IN PLACE. SO WE’RE STILL DRY. AND THEN BY WEDNESDAY DAY THAT HIGH SCOOTS OFF TOWARDS THE EAST THAT WILL SHIFT OUR WINDS. AND THIS IS WHAT WE REALLY START TO FEEL THAT WARMER AIR ON WEDNESDAY, TEMPERATURES HOVERING IN THE MID 80S. ON THURSDAY, WE’RE NEARING ALMOST THE UPPER 80S AND WE HAVE A FRONT UP TO OUR NORTH. THIS WILL STAY OUT OF OUR DIRECTION FOR NOW, BUT THAT FRONT WILL BE A KEY PLAYER GOING INTO THE WEEKEND, 86 ON SATURDAY WITH A 10% CHANCE OF RAINFALL. AND THEN BY SUNDAY THAT FRONT WILL SWING THROUGH THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON, DROPPING HIGH TEMPERATURES INTO THE UPPER 70S AND LOW 80S. A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE PASSAGE OF THAT FRONT, ALTHOUGH I’M NOT EXPECTING BIG RAIN CHANCES. AND THEN AFTER THAT, THINGS SHOULD GRADUALLY BEGIN TO KIND OF B
