An arrest has been made after a deadly shooting on Interstate 4. Officials say 58-year-old Kevin Berry was shot during a road rage incident in Davenport on Sunday.He was taken off life support Tuesday.Davenport resident Daniele Hamilton, also a 58-year-old truck driver, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. A witness told the sheriff’s office what the suspect’s car looked like. However, it was close to 2 a.m. and dark outside when the shooting occurred, but the witness could identify the vehicle as a compact car. The sheriff says a nearby business’ surveillance camera recorded video of a small compact car passing by at the time of the shooting. It also recorded the sounds of yelling and shots fired.Deputies visited Hamilton at his home, where he denied being on the road at the time of the shooting. With a search warrant in hand, the deputies found a gun under Hamilton’s pillow with three missing casings. The sheriff said he believed the ballistics would match those used to shoot Berry. “This is the ugly end to road rage. This man is dead. This man is locked up in jail for second-degree murder,” Judd said. Judd shared some advice for people who consider engaging in road rage. “Take a deep breath, back away. Don’t let the guy who’s aggressive come under your skin,” Judd said. Hamilton is in the county jail.Watch the news conference below:
